A Survivor’s Story
Mary Kelly never intentionally sits down to write a poem. She lets the words swim around in her head, and sometimes they come together.
Ms. Kelly is a residential school survivor who uses writing as a way to process and share what she went through. Please join us for our October MNM to hear this remarkable speaker share her truths with us, and to reflect on how writing can help us process and share our own experiences.
She is also part of Project of Heart: An Exploration of the Legacy of Residential Schools.
Please be sure to indicate whether you intend to attend virtually on Zoom, or in-person under Additional Information during registration. Our in-person location has changed to St. Mark’s United Church at 201 Centre St S, Whitby, ON L1N 4V7.
